The ’Oude Raadhuis’, or ’Old Municipality Hall’ is located on Dorpstraat in Aalsmeer. The building that stands here today was built in 1780, replacing an older hall that had been built in 1619, although elements of the older building can still be seen. The weapon of Aalsmeer once hung above the door of this hall, but it has now been moved to the newer Raadhuis, which is located on the market square. The Oude Raadhuis now serves as a gallery and exhibition centre.
