The ’Oog in ’t Zeil’ mill was built in 1869. It is a working corn mill, and is now owned by the Utrecht Mill Foundation. The mill relied on wind power at first, and was converted to steam and electricity in 1930. In 1936, costly repairs were needed, and the blades and hood were removed. The mill was damaged by fire in 1985, and restoration work began shortly after. The mill currently produces flour for human consumption, and is open to visitors three days a week.
