The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Toren is all that remains of the old Church of Our Lady in Amersfoort. The tower dates back to the 15th century. The church that it was one attached to was blown up by accident in 1797. The church was founded using donations frm pilgrims who were visiting the town to see the Amserfoort Madonna. The tower has two working carillons – one was made by Hemony in 1664, the other by Eijsbouts in 1997.
