The Oude Stadhuis, or, Old Town Hall, in Den Haag is a sixteenth century building with mullioned windows and many interesting decorative carvings. The building has a traditional Dutch Renaissance facade. The oldest part of the building dates back to 1564, and was built based on a design used for the Antwerp town hall. Further work was done on the building in 1734, and an extension was added in 1883 before it was decided that the city council should move to a more modern building.
