The Noordeveldse Mill was built in 1795. It was originally called ’The New Mill’, because it was located near another mill named ’The Old Mill’. The mill was re-named in 1969. The Noordeveldse Mill suffered heavy damage in a fire in 1992, but was re-built a few years later. Today, the mill is maintained by the Van Heusden and Altena Mill Foundation, and is open to the public for tours every Saturday afternoon.
