The Noordbrabants Museum is housed in an 18th century building just southwest of the cathedral in Den Bosch – it was once the home of the provincial commissioner, and has been expanded with two new wings and a sculpture garden added to the original structure. The museum houses a collection of items spanning from prehistory to modern times, along with a number of local paintings. The items on display range from medieval paintings to torture devices and various examples of modern art.
