Over 100 years ago, the Concertgebouw ended the musical drought in Amsterdam. Now, the Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ is keeping quality music alive as the concert hall of the 21st century. The Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ was designed by a Danish group of architects called 3XNielsen, and features one small, and one medium sized auditorium. The building itself is located on the banks of the IJ, and offers wonderful views from the auditoriums. There are regular festivals and concerts held at the Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ, including classical music, and alternative styles.
