The Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum Domburg is a recreation of a pavilion that Jan Toorop set up in the early 1900s to allow local artists to display their works. The Museum includes some work by the artists who worked with Toorop, including such well known artists as Piet Mondrian. Those artists were inspired by the peaceful scenery and clear, fine light in the area, and Domburg remains a popular retreat for artists even now.
