The remains of the Mariakerk in Deventer are located just northwest of the Grote Kerk. The Mariakerk was once a parish church, and was constructed in the 15th century. There have been no religious services performed in the building since 1591. During the 17th century it was partly demolished, and the remaining parts of the building were used as a weapon store.
