The Kroller-Muller Museum is located at the heart of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. The park, and museum, were once owned by Anton and Helene Kroller-Muller, a wealthy merchant family that operated in a number of industries in Holland and South Africa. In 1930 they donated their land, and a large collection of works of art to the country, under the condition that a museum be built in the park. Helene acted as a manager of the museum until her death in 1939.
