The Koggemolen Westuit No 7 was built in 1585. It was one of 24 mills that served the Four North Koggen Waterboard Polder. Many of the mills have been demolished, or converted to dwellings. The Koggemolen Westuit No 7 is one of the only remaining working mills. The mill was converted to use a steam powered pump in 1925, and this was upgraded to an electric pump in 1940. Today, the polder is managed by a newly built pumping station.
