Kasteel Rosendael is a fourteenth century castle surrounded by a seventeenth century garden, and a serpentine park which dates from 1836. The castle gardens had a shooting lodge, gallery, grotto and gazebo added on by Daniel Marot in 1730. There is also a shell gallery, which was restored to it’s colourful glory in 1978, and several rococco fountains. The castle itself is a mixture of medieval and 18th century architecture.
