The Jan van Arkel mill was built in 1851. It is a corn mill, and is currently being used to grind grain for animal feed. The mill was built for Antonie Rekoert of Groot-Ammers. In 1991 the mill was sold to the Foundation for the Conservation of Mills in Alblasserwaard. The current miller is Bas de Deugd, and the mill is open to the public. Tours of the mill are available by appointment only.
