The Houtzaagmolen Twickel is an 18th century windmill located on the outskirts of the city of Delden. The mill was built in 1771, and originally belonged to the estate of Twickel. The mill was originally used to saw wood which was brought in from Amsterdam and Zaandam, because the Twente area itself had no forests. Today, the mill is ran on a voluntary basis, and is cared for by the Twickel Foundation. The mill is open to the public, and current opening hours can be found on the mill web site.
