The Houseboat Museum is located on the Hendrika Maria, a commercial sailing ship built in 1914. The Museum gives visitors a chance to experience the unique lifestyle of a houseboat resident. The deckhouse, which once served as the living area for the skipper’s family, is still in place. The cargo hold has been converted into a spacious living area complete with a kitchen and bathroom. Models, photos and slides of other houseboats are also available for viewing.
