The Holten’s mill was built in 1890 by the mill-maker Van Himbergen for Louis Holten of Eindhoven. The mill was bought by the town or Deurne in 1989, and the town set up the Holten’s Mill Foundation for the purpose of restoring and maintaining the building. The mill is now in use to produce flour and oil, and is open to the public every Sunday afternoon and on Monday evenings. Tours are also available on other days by appointment.
