The Hervormde Kerk, is a Dutch Reformed Church located on Torenlaan in the town of Blaricum. Blaricum is located in an area of North Holland known as ’het Gooi’, and for many years the region had a high population of Gooise agricultural villages. The number of farms in the area decreased dramatically when the Oostermeent was built. The oldest churches in the area are Roman Catholic ones, and the Reformed Churches were formed later as break-away movements from the Roman Catholic Church.
