The Grote Kerk in Blokzijl is one of the main attractions in the town. It has an impressive, well preserved wooden pulpit, and a wooden ceiling. It was one of the first Protestant chruches in the country. There are graves in the floor, however the inscriptions have been worn down by years of traffic through the church. There is a clock above the entrance to the church, with just one hand to show the hour.
