The Engelse Kerk, or English Reformed Church, is located on the Begijnhof in Amsterdam. The Church is a small one, and dates back to medieval times. It was taken from the beguines and given to Amsterdam’s English community during the reformation. It holds some fascinating and beautifully designed pulpit panels, some of which are early works by Piet Mondrian. There are also a number of religious paintings adorning the chapel walls – including one depicting the miracle of the unburnable host.
