The Nederlands Openluchtmuseum (or, Open Air Museum) is a large architecture museum which was founded in 1912. The museum aims to ’present a picture of the daily life of ordinary people in this country as it was in the past and has developed in the course of time’ – there are more than 80 buildings here, which have been transported across the country and reconstructed here, including windmills, farm houses, bridges, and working craft shops.
