The Deventer City Museum is located in the old Waag, or Weigh House. It contains a collection of items which trace the evolution of trade and industry in the city, along with a selection of portraits, local silverware, and even some local pre-historic finds. On the outer wall of the Waag is a large 500 year old pot, which was apparently used to execute the local mint master after he was caught producing fake coins.
