The De Hoop mill is the oldest remaining working mill in the town of Den Hout. The mill was built in 1836, following a request from Adriaan Quiryn Beljaars. The mill suffered heavy damage during the Second World War, and was not restored until it was bought by the town in 1975. Since then, the mill has been maintained by the town, and is ran on a regular basis. The De Hoop mill is open to the public.
