The De Hoop Windmill is a working corn mill located on Gemeenlandsedijk Zuid in the town of Abbenbroek. The mill was built in 1843, and used 3 flock grindstones. The mill used wind power until 1947, when it was converted to use electricity instead. In 1974, the derelict mill was sold to the Zandijk family, who restored the mill to working order. Of the original 3 flock grindstones, only one remains. The mill is open to visitors every Saturday.
