The De Hoop Mill in Almelo is a working corn mill with two torque grindstones. The mill was built in 1850, and was built using materials from the a demolished mill from 1797. In 1910, the upper part of the mill was severely damaged in a fire. The mill was re-constructed using parts from the Springend Hart mill, which had been closed down shortly before. The mill is now owned by the Almelo Windmill Foundation, who are currently raising funds to perform more restoration work.
