The De Hoop Mill is an historic grain mill situated on Verlengde Molenstraat in the town of Beers. The mill is of the round-stones stellingmolen variety, and was built in 1850. The De Hoop Mill was in use for more than 100 years before it was finally closed down in 1960. Unfortunately, the mill suffered heavy damage in a fire in 1970, and now only the mill hull remains. The sails, rods, and much of the inner workings were destroyed in the fire.
