The De Hoop mill in Arnhem is a traditional corn mill. It was built in 1846. The mill was bought by the town in 1975, and restored in 1977. The mill is now in use on a voluntary basis to produce both cattle feed, and wheat for human consumption. The mill is used as a venue for many seasonal events, including the ’Oogstfeest’, an annual festival where there are demonstrations of ancient crafts. The mill is recognized as being a licensed venue where marriages can take place.
