The Apenheul Monkey Reserve is a nature reserve located in Apeldoorn. It is a very high quality nature reserve, which gives the animals good living conditions and a lot of freedom. The reserve includes gorillas which are kept on their own wooded islands away from the other animals, as well as monkeys, otters, deer, and capybara. The best time to visit is in the mornings, as the animals are at their most lively before the afternoon when the temperature starts to heat up.
