Flower Auction Aalsmeer (Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer) moved to its current premises on the 28th February 1972. This site is the world’s largest central trade building – sprawling over a space equal to around 145 football fields. Over 11,000 different varieties of plants are stored and auctioned here. As a tourist, you have the opportunity to watch the auctions on a morning, and then visit the historical gardens on the afternoon. The gardens spread over 13,000 square meters, and include a collection of old tools and an auction room with an original clock from the 1930s.
